I know I just got back from maternity leave, but I'm off again...for good this time. I am graduating from Nursing School and have a job as an RN lined up. I'd like to take some time off with my son before I start my new career. Which means the time has finally come for me to leave Newsvine as an employee.
I've thoroughly enjoyed the past 5+ years getting to know you all. I've learned so much from the discussions on this site. For one, I learned online communities aren't always terrible - there are real connections and conversations here. Of course some gentle guidance has been needed over the years (and thank goodness or I wouldn't have a job), but for the most part this community is respectful, intelligent, and cares deeply about information and sharing that information. It is a unique place. One I will miss deeply.
Personally: I met some amazing friends while working here and our friendships will extend long beyond being coworkers (Tyler and Dave); I met my husband, married him and had a baby with him while working here; I went through four years of school and ran three marathons and a half-ironman triathlon while working here. There are so many of my life's milestones that I will forever associate with my time working at Newsvine, and that means the world to me.
I will truly miss interacting with all of you on a daily basis, but I am excited for what the future holds for me and for my family. Thanks for all the good times! I'm not too sad though because I know I will see you all again on the 'Vine.
All the best,
