My dogs are too much sometimes and this is a story I just have to share. I might start telling you guys all the things these crazy dogs do.
I woke up last night and heard a crinkling noise, but Dixie and Rex were in bed. So I convinced myself it was a mouse and I am totally freaking out. I do NOT want mice.
I finally work up the nerve and flick the switch to investigate….and there was no mouse.
Hmm…strange.
So...I pulled back the covers and what do I see?
A big brown stain all over my bed!
It was 5:30 a.m. and I was out of it. So then I am thinking, “oh no someone pooped in the bed!”
And then I saw a silver wrapper and realized that little jerk Dixie went into the pocket of my sweatshirt, took out the chocolate I forgot was in there (I was saving it for later), ate it and smeared said chocolate ALL over my BRAND NEW SHEETS. It was all over my knee too!
So I had to get up and shower and change the sheets, and then she was all amped up acting crazy ALL morning. She was jumping from one couch to the other repeatedly for at least 15 minutes with this rabid look in her eye.
This is the first time Dixie has EVER been worse behaved then Rex, who was sleeping like a little angel the entire time.
So later that morning, I took the sheets to the dry cleaner on my way to work and I was so embarrassed. I had to swear to the woman behind the counter that the stain was indeed chocolate.
She still looked weirded out though.
Perhaps it's payback for me doing this:
